Overall: Mickey's is the mullet of pubs: All business in the front with its classic wood-and-brass bar area, and all party in the back's super-spacious annex
How about this description of a bar? Funny part it's true. If you're ever on the northside of Indy, my-in-laws own this place and I've worked there off and on since 92, go there. The food is good, the staff is friendly(can be rude if the girls are pissed for some reason) and the regulars oustanding. In the era of strip malls and subdivisions, it's as close to a neighborhood bar as you can get.

if i'm in the area (which is unlikely) i shall definately stop off. i live in nyc so there's no shortage of bars and pubs. of course some are better than others. i only go to the bar/restaurant ones where they have parties for people where i work, but I pass many on the way to work. although i'm irish, i don't do the drinking thing. :)
i like places like that- where you can become a regular. how's your hand?
much better thank you, had a cyst removed. Mostly annoying nothing to threaten poor grammer and bad posts in the blogosphere
I have a picture of my great-grandfather's bar in Yonkers New York dated circa 1914. It's long since gone but it's great family history.
